Tivoli Audio® set a new standard in portable audio design and high-fidelity sound when we introduced the Portable Audio Laboratory in 2002. The PAL quickly established itself as one of our most popular and critically-acclaimed radios.
Nine years and over a million radios later, we’ve done it again with the PAL+. The PAL+ retains the compact and endearing design of the PAL, but moves it into the digital age with DAB, DAB+, DMB, and FM RDS reception. We also kept the Nickel Metal Hydride battery, allowing hours of enjoyment of your favorite stations inside or out, home or away, without the need to plug-in. The NiMH battery is environmentally-friendly, has no memory effect, and fully charges in about 3 ½ hours. The PAL+’s integrated smart charger eliminates the need for an expensive, separate charging station.
As with the PAL, the PAL+’s weather-resistant design makes it a fine travel companion. The PAL+ even doubles as a stylish alarm clock thanks to the auto set clock and dual, independent alarms with snooze and adjustable sleep timer. Gently wake to your favorite station or a pleasant repeating tone – the choice is yours. And with multiple color options, you’re sure to find one that suits your style.
The PAL+ is packed with such user-friendly features as a large, easy-to-see display with adjustable backlight, full-function remote control with holder, a multi-function control wheel for simplified operation, menu language options, and adjustable bass, treble, and balance, in addition to preset EQs. Also onboard is a 3.5mm auxiliary input for an iPod or other audio device, and a stereo headphone output that is switchable to mono for improved reception of noisy FM stations.
The PAL+’s good looks and useful features are only half of the story. We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the expansive sound, which must be heard to be believed. Only Tivoli Audio could make a diminutive portable radio sound two or three times its size.
